Kick start only and in reasonable condition for the price.

Pick it up on Saturday week.

Thanks

Nigel

What a lovely bike:thumb2.
I hope you have as much fun on yours as I have had on mine.
I've had mine for 12 months now and covered over 10,000Km.
on lanes or getting to lanes. During that time I have only had to buy wheel bearings, chains and tyres. If you are going to use it mainly on trails I would advise that you take the indicators, rack, rear mudguard etc. off and stick them in a box.
Have fun:beerjug:

Well,

It has now been bought home and is keeping the R1200GS and my Land Rover company. Its so light and narrow compared to the BMW.

Only slight problem is that the fuel tap does not work in the "on" position only reserve so as I turned the fuel tap 'on' as we left the pub in Lindfield I did not get very far before I was stopped by the side of the road!!!

Its all sorted now. The fuel line was a bit short and had become kinked hence no flow through. A new section of fuel line and everything is sorted.

Also now a bit muddier!!!

Went out on Saturday to do a bit of green laning out between Ranmore Common and Gomshall. I wished I had checked the depth of the puddle that I rode through then I would have found out it was upto my knees when sitting on the bike :augie. Had an interesting moment going down the side of a chalk hillside (I don't think that I have ever been so scared on a bike!).

I am off out this weekend as well - my confidence is growing.

What I need is a junior Wombat Hunt ;)

If you have security bolts/rim locks fitted to your wheels drop the tyre pressure when you are riding off road. This will give you loads more grip and confidence.
About 15psi is generally ok higher pressure for rocky areas and lower for mud.
Using lower than 15 on rocky sections risks causing compression punctures when the tube pinches.
I found that mine would die when going through long stretches of water. This was caused by the carb breathers getting blocked by water. They have been rerouted up to the airbox and the problem has gone away.
Have fun:thumb2

Well,

Its now 7months since I bought it and it was time for an MoT this morning. It passed but....I got 4 advisories!
+ Noisy exhaust - he also noticed it was a Suzuki end can!
+ Slight wear in front wheel bearing
+ Worn rear sprocket
+ Loose/worn chain.

So can any one recommend a good supplier/manufacturer for a chain and sprocket set?

Thanks

Nigel

Thanks for the link Timpo.

The parts were duly ordered and fitted tonight. A nice quick job and also changed the oil at the same time. Tightening the clamp on the exhaust has seemed to make a slight difference as well!

Thanks :thumb2

Tyre Advice

Hi,

Well the bike is holding up fine.

i have had a look at the tyres and they are looking quite worn. Some of the tread blocks on the rear are starting to crack around the edges where they join the carcass.

Currently running Bridgestone Trailwing TW301/2 and looking for some recommendations. Mainly gentle off roading in Surrey so mainly muddy/stoney tracks with a bit of sand?

What do you suggest?

Thanks

Nigel

I,m currently using on my crm
Front Mitas EF06
Rear Mitas CO2
Good price at www.demonmx.co.uk but the rear is only listed as a 120x18 there and not the 100x18 you want.
Do a search for other suppliers
