knackered pre-load thingy

Peeps, I have found that the preload adjuster on my '52' plate 1150 has almost completely siezed up. The adjuster is so stiff that the plastic wheel on the top that is turned to do the adjusting is just slipping round on the adjuster rod itself. I am waiting for BMW to call me with regards to a warranty claim, but would be interested to hear if anyone has had a similar problem. It has done 7000 miles only, and is very well looked after, so its not my faulty!!!

Yup, they changed the entire rear shock [sealed unit] under warranty, I now run the adjuster fully up and down a few times at every oil change service just to keep it free

A new shock, that'll be a right result!! If I can get on e every 7000 miles, then I will never have to suffer a deflating shock, ever again
