ever since I got this R850R i've had a knocking noise under the petrol tank which gets worse when fuel is low, removed tank a couple of times. couldn't find anything, So at the weekend I changed the fuel filter and realised that was the problem. it's been knocking against the inside of the fuel tank and nearly rubbed a hole right through it. If it had holed it I would have lost pressure to the injection system and been stranded some where. it's obviously been like it from new as this was the first filter change at 24.000. miles, and still had the original fuel pipe clamps.
