Knox Armour Shirt + Heated Jacket

Hey all,

Interested to know if anyone has used an armoured under shirt with heated kit?

Gut instinct tells me jacket over the shirt won't work because the armour will get in the way and jacket under the shirt just won't fit.

Yeah I've seen these warm & safe base layers. I currently have a Keiss heated jacket so a bit thicker. Maybe that's the way to go.

My wife and I both wear Warm and Safe heated shirts under our Knox jackets. I have the Honnister jacket and my wife has the Urbane Pro MK3

WnS undershirt here too and not that far away from you so you know it works.
Only "issue" I have is that WnS (and other manufacturers ) seem to think that there's no need for a panel on the stomach area.

Adventure Spec super shirt, Mosko Moto Ecotherm on top. Works a treat.

I looked into this too and was advised for best results it needs to be
• base layer
• heated jacket
• armour.

but then the armour would be oversized to allow for heated jacket and too small without it, or have heated jacket over the armour and accept that it won't work as well as it should (in which case, just buy a really good normally insulated mid layer)

I wear my heated jacket over my my Knox jacket, I was always having to turn the heated jacket down as it got too hot underneath a textile jacket, I find it works really well down to -5ish. Jacket is a Gerbing so heat all down the arms and to the top of the collar.
