Ive been looking at the kouba links for swmbo's f650gs and they say definitely no no to the 2" lowering kit.
She will never go off road and she isn't exactly a scratcher so why the no no to the 2" ?? Im not worried about the side/center stand angle.
I suppose I could lower the front an inch or so and get her boots raised with another sole and adjust the rear shock but I cant find the reason for the
no no.
Cheers guys and gals.....Tosh.

Sarah Teach's 650GS was not fitted with a KL as the banking angle when cornering is greatly reduced, and she did not want to hear the 'touch-down' of any of her metalwork, this would of spooked her. And believe me, they touch-down a lot easier than you think.
Instead we fitted a Wunderlich Ergo Extra Low Seat, and I slide the fork stanchions through the yokes approx 1", and with the rear shock preload reduced, the suspension is spot-on.
She also has just obtained a pair of 'lady' boots which have a reasonably higher sole.
ST is 5' 1.75" and manages the bike perfectly.

Got 2" Koubalinks on my 2000 Dakar and there's never been an issue. But if Kouba says no then maybe go for a 1" link and get a lower seat. I'm sure he knows what he's talking about.

I lowered Geraldine's 2005 650 using 2" Koubalinks, she hated it.

It completely changed the handling of the bike. The rear spray guard had to be removed as it kept getting jammed at the back of the number plate.

She went back to the standard set-up very quickly.

The 2" links are fine for the Dakar as the bike's suspension is higher than the standard 650, that's why they work on the Dakar, so if you must lower it use the 1" links and lower the front by 1".

Tosh, you're very welcome to take a trip over here to throw her leg over ST's bike to try our little mods.
What are her inside leg measurements?

You guys and girls are great, After reading all the comments I took swmbo (She Who Must Be Obeyed) into the garage and reduced the rear ride height with the dampener and took 10 mm from the front forks. Along with another sole glued on the bottom of her boots she is as happy as a pig in the proverbial, Once again thank you to all.
What a great site this is :)
Tosh.
