...what would the 4 halve heads do to an otherwise standard boxer![]()
I think they're more of a historical curiosity than anything...
Bloody rare as far as I know.
They make an otherwise uninteresting bike a source of often vehement discussion. That'd make a lovely Bobber
Out of interest, what would the 4 halve heads do to an otherwise standard boxer

Made it rattle more than you can ever believe, and made you an expert on adjusting krauser head valve clearences, as they needed doing every few hundred miles.
Oh, i forgot to mention the real performance advantage as opposed to the "on paper" boast. None whatsoever.
As St Eptoe states
I've had the pleasure of riding a GENUINE MKM both with and without the Krauser heads..
With = no noticeable power difference when riding compared with original high comp pre 1980 heads and 40mm exhausts...
Valve clearance adjustment was due after every tank full of fuel..
Lumpy power delivery with a drop in power around 4000rpm
They Squeak on tickover.
Sound like a skeleton wanking in a biscuit tin at 2000 - 7000 rpm..
Could never get above 30 mpg....
2 valve heads, = SWEET, pulled out of fast corners a lot better and almost 40 mpg ....
Conclusion, Krauser frame = Dogs Bollox
Krauser heads -= Dogs Shite.....
Just my own humble opinion...
