I wanted something to put maps and my SLR in on trips, but I did not want a hug boxy bag in front of me on the tank.
Now most of the Bagster stuff is not waterproof, and I only use their map case which definitely is not waterproof as I have a Bagster tank cover.

so I had an Kriega US10 (the old version) which was given to me by someone who doesn't ride anymore Perfect for Maps and the SLR.
I looked at the Krieg tank adapter, and the older Krieg bags do not seem to mate easily with them, so what to do.

Bagster tank cover, so you have to clip in at the bottom and loop at the top.

Looking on the web I found a site that provided Bagster spares. linky

So after some measuring up and playing around with the loops and spare bits I have from old backpacks, and some key ring bits the top was sorted for connecting in

Next was the bottom clips, so order two for about £8 posted (I got some extra bits as well for spares), remove the Kriega clips and replace, with the two parts for the Bagster clips.

So the finished Kriega Bagster US10 looks like this

I also trimmed the longer straps for the top clips that were supposed to attach the bag to the bike, as I intend this bag only for the tank, not a huge loss, but due to the design of the older bag, still able to attach to the panniers should I wish.

and I can get to the fuel filler without too many hassles.

It is easy off, and on, and quite easy to get the Camera in and out as I do not always have to completely close the clips in the side as it has the middle clip.

With the front loops I can also put a strap on it and carry either over the shoulder or easily in the hand when I leave the bike,

Easy mod, that took about 20 minutes. :thumb2

Love it...!

Do you have the part numbers for the bits you needed? I have the same older type of Kriega bag & would love to make use of it. This looks a great way to do that...
