Kriega US fitting

Bit of a silly post but hey...

How/where did you fit the straps for the Kriega US drypacks?
I have a 2007 GS Adventure and used the slots in the bike tail (behind the pannier rails) - but I was wondering if there were more "creative" or neater ways to fit them

I managed to get 4 of the straps that Kriega use in the Ducati 959 fitting pack as Kriega are only 15 minutes away from me. A quick visit sorted what I wanted rather than buying 2 packs of which I only wanted the below parts

Using 4 of the long Hypalon & webbing loops - 95mm - 8mm hole and washers fitted as below

The original BMW M8 bolts had 13mm of spare thread when fitted normally so was quite happy to use the original bolts

If Kriega made the M8 sized straps 50mm in length then the rear ones would clear of the rear rack but the loop protects it, just, from the aluminium hook. May put a piece of webbing under for touring

Allows the pannier fittings to be kept clear and can tuck them under the seat when not needed

There is not flush mount bolts on the upper part of the K25 GS, But I think there is a couple on the side.

I used the 4 bolts that hold the pannier mounts onto the plate
it's a 1250 2020 year
If you look at the bike specific mounting strap sets for the different bikes there are other options
The guys at Kriega said they'd never considered anything for the GS as they thought it would have loads of places to put the frame loop straps on
I just wanted something out of the way and not onto the round bars

This is where I fitted the straps.

Then I reconsidered. On the older GS, a good option is to join the straps together and just loop them under the passenger seat.
This way you don't have anything left when not using the bag, and you can strap the bag both above the seat or on the rear rack.

Ok, now I have to cut some extra length of straps.

As written above, I ended up with joining the straps and passing them below the seat or seat & rear rack, depending on where I want to place the bag. Take everything away when done.

Works ok.
