KTM 540 SXS Crosser

Hello Katoom fans, a friend of mine has just bought a very trick 540 sxs, far too quick for me but fair play to him!! The bike in question is blowing blue smoke from the minute you start it up!! Initially he thought it may need new rings then a dealer told him it may need a piston then another guy who has had several 525's told him it may need valve stem oil seals!!

Could anybody help out two very very amatuer mechanics and shed some light??

only one thing

tear it down, its ok speculating what it may be but the only real way to find out is a strip. the parts arnt that bad i'd atleast do the valve stems and rings.
sorry dude, but why did he buy it if it was smoking
