KTNConnect

Anyone used/installed it?
Any good? or much like MyRide?
To answer my own question, peoples results with it vary.
On the face of it, it should be OK for nav as its Sygic in another wrapper.
Of course, if you want the whistles and bells, its more expensive, €30 / year (€18 on offer) for Sygic and about €60 for KTMconnect.

Yep

I use it and find it to be pretty good

I like the Nav feature and it just works simply - plot a route and get directions either on the phone or on the dash of the bike but only turn by turn. I have paid the subscription so I can do the upload a GPX file which also works when using my route app. Being honest I only really use it for planning a route i.e my upcoming Spain/portugal trip so that has been done in MRA and imported then the only other times it gets used is just to simply find a place and go when otherwise I wouldn't be able to find it and it does reasonable routes to do so with a twisty route option

The phone element is sometimes a bit hit and miss but the music control works ok

As with many bike manufacturers now all service stuff is on line and its there to see in the app

I think it is a big step up from the KTM my ride app of old

It is free unless you opt to upgrade the Nav feature so nothing to be lost by giving it a go

I paid £8 for the basic app and have used it for 18 months now.
Like it and haven't bothered to fit the Garmin.

Used it yesterday and put in 3 waypoints which took me some lovely back roads around the Cotswolds.

Not "techy" enough for some, but I like simple.

That sounds like the original KTM MY ride app which seems to have been superseded by KTM connect

My Ride was discontinued and no longer worked. Those that had paid for it had to pay again for Connect.
I'm sure it was £8 at the time.
Just looked and it tells me my Mobility Service breakdown cover has expired now.
I know if you upgrade you can do a lot more, but as I said, I like the simplicity of the basic app.

The download/install is for free on Playstore.
I wonder if Sygic works with it without paying KTM their slice. I already have a sub for that.
Just noticed it's £8.49 for a year at the moment.

Yes, I downloaded Connect before I got the bike, but needed the VIN number to make it work.
The £8 was a one off payment as I recall.

For the app or the nav?
I could only download the map once I'd paid.
And that is another plus in my opinion, although the map is basic, it is installed and not reliant on the internet.

I downloaded all of France via KTMConnect yesterday without paying anything.
Maybe its because I have a Lifetime Premium license for Sygic. Sygic does not see the map downloaded via the KTM app... will investigate.

will investigate.
It seems that Sygic supply their software/maps to all sorts. Ducati use it I think.
I have tried copying directories and files between Sygic and KTMC and no joy.
Sygic cant see maps downloaded in the KTM app and visa-versa.

What I did find is Navigation for KTM motorcycles on the Play Store.
All it does is intercept and route navigation commands from your preferred nav app to the screen.
As such, it is a very small piece of software, which I like. Too much bloatware about.
This might be nice if it will send Kurviger instructions to the screen.
I will give it a go when I get the bike :D

I remember being confused if that was the genuine app at the time!

Just done a 700 meg update which has included a new feature where you can see the service history. Enter the delivery certificate ID and it's all there.

the moment I paid for my bike I downloaded the KTM connect app - it was free as was the basic Nav ( I paid the subscription to have the full package though)

It was £8 on the old KTM My ride app which I hd paid so maybe the Basic Nav package just moved over to the Connect app

Incidentally the RAC cover ( or whatever ) renews each service at main dealer even long after the warranty expires

I seem to recall 6 years or 60,000 miles for a single and 8 and 80k for a twin.
