Lady Airhead GS roll call - please say hello !!

So what prompted you to get 'into' bikes in the first place ???

Hi Bob

It was my Dad (and Mum), when I was 4 he took me pillion on his Triumph Bonnie (T-reg) in the back garden and that was that. I followed the bikes and my brother followed the car side. We were grew up in the Cambridge Car Club as both mum and dad did hill climbs, auto tests etc :rob Its in the Blood!!!!!

Nevermind the fact that I used to fix Aircraft :augie

Anyway My brother has just joined the biking club (and should be picking up an X-Challenge on Saturday) He is lucky he has got the legs for it :aidan

Not being funny but how am I supposed to recruit females

I do not know any :eek I did say I am a tomboy

Ok I now a couple but none of them would even go pillion, let alone ride.

I work on a construction site, I do volunteer work with ATC (RAF Cadets) and ride motorbikes :roll So if you have an idea how I might even socialise with the "girls" even though I am one, please let me know. :tears

I have finished now.

P.S. I hate shopping, just ask BamBam. Do not own make up, Have not been to a hairdresser for 6 years etc, etc.

Sounds spot on to me :thumb2

Lileth, It makes no difference if you are a tomboy or a girlie. Its when you take off your helmet in public and let folks see that girls can ride old airheads and not just " dont touch me with a spanner"bikes. Im sure you do that already.
Or...
If you really are a tomboy, just have a good bum scratch, spit and tell them to get their arses onto a proper bike....:aidan

hello fellow tossers/ettes,i have been riding for 2 and a half years now and my 92 r80gs in red is my fourth bike and by far my favourite,i am blown away at the excitment of riding her and wish i could spend far more time doing so.when i am on the road, full throttle, overtaking like the wind i just feel like part of the machine my gender doesn't come into it but when i have to manouver the bike around on the ground(specially with people watching!) i feel like a silly week woman!!! and i am just waiting to drop her one day(please god don't let this happen!) i plan to keep riding well into my old ladyhood, would like to try some off roading and to go to foreign lands.my riding partner is off the road at the moment so if any of you hairheads come llandovery way and fancy a ride out give me a shout.hopefully i can make it to the gentlemans wee-kend but i'm alittle shy!!
I wish I had this problem, at 6"2 my GSPD is to small for me and sometimes I think I look out of place riding the bike..
