I dunno why the human brain seems to think the more typical 12 inches of verge will stop you going for a bungie jump (wihout the bungie) if you misjudge a corner

I have a theory that hurtling over the edge with a GPS device on 'voice mode' it will go: "Off route.... Recalculating...."

Then as you rocket down, to the road beneath, it will go... "In ten*yards, turn sharply left.... " It would either be very funny or a touch annoying.

*or 1000 yards, depending on how far out into thin air you are heading.
