Heading to the 2 for a wee spin next Sunday.
Cafe recommendations in the area gratefully received.
:thumby:

At Lake Vyrnwy: If you cross the dam from the Shrewsbury end (with main res to your right ) and turn left, there's a rather nice tea room/cafe down the bottom on the left :thumb

Round the back there's a bird feeding station with shed loads of finches etc. Makes for a nice break.

Superb part of the country. Ridden around there lots, not recently though. Must put that right.

Terrific, thank you.

After you the "The Old Barn Cafe" go back to the lake turn left and follow the lake till you see a sign for "Dinas Mawdduy 10" follow sign, that was a good day out

I followed the route further on in to Snowdonia.....:D

From the info stones as you turn left onto the dam from Shrewsbury, ride acw for 2.25miles and bounce up to Lake Veiw cafe and look back to the dam. Very easy to see why The Dambusters used to practice on the lake.

Leave lake at it's northern most point to Bala via Pass of the cross.
