I've got the standard foot pegs on my 2009 GS but when I test rode a 2015 GSA previously it had the much larger platform pegs fitted and I really liked them.

I'm guessing these can be fitted to mine easily enough but are there any downsides I haven't thought if and are there any particularly recomended makes?

Thanks,

Phik

Yes, the standard GS pegs are pretty crap. Narrow and short. I hated mine.
Don't know if the WC ones will fit yours but the hex head GSA ones certainly will. Much broader and you can attach rubber inserts if you prefer. Much cheaper to source second hand, too.
Or do what I did. Fit a pair of foot rests from an 800GS. Nice compromise in size, straight fit and cheap. £40 for a pair that were as new from eBay. Came complete with the rubber inserts. The GSA rubbers don't come with them standard, cost extra. £40 I think?
There's other after market ones available as well such as Fastway. £100 from Nippy Normans.

Hmmm, now I've found Pivot Pegz as well - are these much better than the standard wide pegs?

I fitted the Pivot Pegz to my 2006 GSA before our Europe trip and can honestly say they make a big difference. Much more comfortable whether sitting or standing, as your foot/ankle sits at the correct position; plus they offer great grip without tearing up the undersides of your boots.

Thumbs up :thumb2
