I thought I'd begin by introducing myself and my intent with Lawshall Motorworks. My name is Ethan, I have been a technician at the local BMW dealership, Reiten Motorrad for the past 7 years. I have had the privilege in that time to work with some great people, learn invaluable knowledge and work extensively on some great bikes. I have gained a particular love for the boxer series, from the classic air heads to the newer liquid cooled series.
We will be specialising in all BMW's and servicing inline with manufacturers guidelines, but what does this mean for you? Basically if you have purchased a BMW with warranty, this will still be protected, OEM parts are used on all bikes with warranty, but should your bike be slightly older or not qualify for warrenty, Patent or Aftermarket parts can be used upon request (oil filters, oil, etc)
Where will we be located? I am in the process of building a purpose built workshop in Lawshall, close to the main road between Bury st edmunds and sudbury. But with the response from the local biking community we will be opening an interim workshop near the Reiten showroom (Glemsford) to cater for those who need their bikes prepped or serviced before the summer season
Our aim is simple:
Create a workshop you can trust with your bikes, we know how we'd want ours to be treated
Bring quality service and repair work to all brands, with a strong focus on the BMW Motorrad range
15% off for CBT license holders, we're looking into the possibilty of offering weekend basic maintenance classes (on their own bike) for customers who can provide their pink license.
Directly offer a focus for the Oil cooled (hex and twin cam) series. We want to provide a support for this community after seeing many perfect bikes sold or off the road due to identified common issues such as clutch seals, final drive seals and pumps.
Please message if you have any questions regarding our services and wether we can accommodate your bike in our workshop soon!
Thankyou - Ethan Stenner
Another small project I'm working on is offering a bolt on option to have a 17" front wheel on the GS/GSA series (pictured below testing at snetterton)
