Does anyone know what the lead time is on a new Adventure these days?

Cheers

Jim

it sems to depend on a) what spec you want/are willing to take, b) what the delaer has in his stock and c) whats on the UK BWM computer for the dealer to trade stock to obtain your bike. If none of the above are possible, then its 8-12 weeks i believe.

It may well depend on current stock, as I have been talking to my dealer, and due to the new 1200GS, his total allocation of Adventures for 2004 is 4.
He has already sold 2, and his next unsold one is not due in until September! This does not mean you can't get one, only that you might have to rely on one being available from stock.

Regards,

Charles

I went into Vines and ordered one last Thursday and picked up my new one today! Although apparently it was going to be their demo bike I got it first. I think you should be able to get one within 4 weeks from the conversations I have had.
Any prebuilt ones are likely to be pretty fully loaded though - assume ABS, engine bars and heated grips. Mine also came with enduro box (which I wanted) and white indicators (which I had no particular opinion on). Engine was silver not black though - I had thought all 04 bikes would be black - it was manufactured this year.

Oh and to bore you all (because clearly there is no way you have seen a sliver adv before ;) I will post up some pics later......
