Hi all, i will apologise now if this has already been covered, did a search but not all info i think i need!!!

I need to remove the front engine cover as it is leaking oil not for cosmetic reasons unfortunately! Oil drained, belt off, but do i need to lock anything off, or find TDC just to remove the cover to re-seal it??? Also wat size is the allen head bolt i need to remove on the suspension to be able to get the plate out? Any ideas?

Any ideas, tips etc gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks

What plate ???

You'll need to remove the telelever rear pin, and move it forward, as the cover won't go over the crank where the lower pulley mounts.
The hall sensor and the sensor ring behind the lower pulley all has to come off.
You better replace the seal in the case as well.

Before you do all this, have you tried re-tightening all the bolts that hold the cover on ?.

Hi there Steptoe
Yep, rear pin removed suspension forward, and tried tightening it all up prior to having to resort to this! (My life is never that simple unfortunately!) How do i get the bolt loosened on the lower pulley? Obviously the whole pulley turns when i try and undo it. Do you have any tips for that please? It is a normal thread i presume and not left handed?
Many thanks
