I would like to have a pair of bike trousers altered as they're too big around the legs. Can anyone recommend an alteration service in the Chester/NW area please? I've heard good things about Hideout leathers but they're too far away as I would like to take them in personally so they can see exactly what needs doing.

LSR

used them a while back very good but not a quick turnaround
They seem to be fairly local but another member has had a bad experiencd with them, more through logisitics than the quality of their work I guess. As I plan to go in person maybe not so much of an issue.

A few years back I took my 2 piece leathers to Joyda Leathers in Hindley near Wigan
Was measured and had alterations done including relocation of zips
Excellent job done and couldn't tell they had been done

another vote for Joyda. She supplied our motorcycle section with leather riding gear 30+ years ago, I believe her daughter is now running the business. I've used them a few times since for alterations to jackets.

Popped across to see Nicki @ Joyda this afternoon, thanks gents, and yes, she's a lovely lass.
