I'm in the market for a plain black leather jacket and trousers, something like the BMW black leather suit only a bit cheaper.
Anyone got any gems of information or advice. (have just thrown out my 30 year old TT leathers suit).

If you've got the dosh, BKS are very pukka. Heard Crowtree are good, ditto Hideout.

RS leathers are amonst the best. I sold the trousers a while back but still have a Jacket size 44 which er, seems to have shrunk recently.

If it's two-piece and off the peg your after, I recommend Hein Gericke 'Tricky' jacket and trousers. Black leather, with comfortable lycra stretchy bits. Not too expensive and wearing well so far.

Thanks for all the advice, tried the Heine Gerrike tricky but the trousers don't fit too well so have decided to go custom. A local guy who used to own a a well known leather shop is going to make me a set in his spare time.

Bikers Paradise in Coventry - their 'Warrior' jackets and jeans have won the RiDE awards more than once and are great value for money. They will even make them to suit your size (unlike Gerike who don't do short legs in anything). Good kit. I've had a pair of their boots for 7 years and 50-odd thousand miles.
