Does anyone know how the likes of the Nippy Norm and Touratech LED rear lights fool bikes with IBS into thinking there is a filament present?

I have got the warning light showing on an 1150 (servo) I have just picked up today. It has LED lights, but there is no way to easily replace with a standard lamp.

Any info greatly appreciated.

I believe that a resistor is fitted, this fools the electronic wizardry in to thinking that a bulb is present. The resistor increases the amperage drawn.

is the rear light complete or bits missing
there r tons of after market light units that one can fit
we sell led complete light units with brake light

The rear light is actually off a 1200 with an LED board inside, not had a chance to dismantle it and have a look yet. Not having owned a GS with IBS before... is there any extra wiring to the lights? I have looked at a couple of wiring diagrams but they didnt show anything.

Thanks for that, I will check in the morning to see if there is a resistor.
