The Drilling was very easy.........it didn't cause any alteration to the standard wiring.......

All you'd need to do would be either swap the Caps or purchase a new one, it'd be worth it.

If the kit to upgrade the main beam were using the same boxes as the dipped beam on my bike, then it would fit no problem...

Power consumption would not be a problem as they use less once fired up..;)

Cool..

Cool.. ..
Me thinks me has a plan..
Oh got my Migsel Bar today.. nice one Migsel..a couple of bers to take off with a file. Going to paint it hammarite black, if i use it.

The idea of uprating the lowbeam sound nice, i will make some enquiries about the high beam and what its like.

Did you get yours from NN??

NN emailed today, to say a second bulb was on its way, and the first one should have been Recorded delivery. So looks like trusty royal mail have lost it..

However nice Norman, has put a set of the lite buddys in for me to try as i have had no luck with getting hold of Malky and they do look abit brighter..

Questions is, do i have em as running lights.. or as break lights.??

rocks,

The HID is from NN...........

As for Lite Buddies set up,...........the choice, as they say, is entirely yours..:D

mmmmm!

Looks good in the pics. CC................

......................however, how about showing us a picture of things lit in the same setting as picture 1
i.e. outside - in my experience leds are ok in the shade but not a lot of good in daylight of any brightness.
just playing devils advocate a little I'm afraid bit I'd love to see the difference if you can oblige
Ta Sherps;)

Hi Sherpa,

Well spotted.............not a deliberate ploy it has to be said......

Just taken on different days........It was daylight when the second set were taken and the arse of the bike was facing said daylight at the time........

The attached photo shows the Lite Buddies in daylight........the Lite Blazer is brighter still.

Folk that have ridden behind have commented that they are Very noticeable..........result as far as I'm concerned..... ;)

CC

PS, I will take some more pics and post them here when I get the chance..........in full daylight....:)

Wiring mine

I will take some night shots of mine.. some close up and some far off, so people can see what the difference is.. just need to find a brick to load the break peddle..

I may have also found a way to wire mine into the ignition with ease.. just need to work out how to drop a 12v line to 3v.. any electronics wizards out there.. my LED unit need 3v input..
what inline fuses do i need..

I remember its something like V= I * R.. and i dont know the values of I, to work out what i need for R.. or am i wrong.. ??

Lite buddies..

CC, just fitted some Lite Buddies.. they are defenitely bright..
will post a pick shortly.. got mine as running lights.. decided that if they can see the bike first, then they might notice i am breaking... and hopefully makes the bike look a bit wider, so bigger road presence..

Comments on fitting, on my WIDE ASS thread..

get a proper rear fog light £2, instead of all these poncy gadgets.

Where did you fit the ballast for the dipped beam? I've already got two Xenon spots two under the beak, but it would be nice to have the main lights working.

After seeing Steptoe's excellent lighting mod, I thought I thought I could do something very similar with what I found lying around in the shed..

All I require to finish this is a red lamp, anyone know where I could get one.

I’m also looking at fitting one of those nice security halogen lights that B&Q are selling for £12.99. Because they only come on when it’s dark and if someone walks in front of the bike I wouldn’t need to install a switch (another cost saving! )
:)

Silly....

Not very clever is it? If you were lying in the gutter, the number plate would totally obscured.

You need a nice LED you do!

:D

its a fog horn as well, better than just relying on a light, must fit one ASAP. Thanks for a super idea Kev.
