hi tossers,i was going to fit a set of LED indicaters to my 08 12gs but have been told that bmw will have to set the computor on the bike,as going from normal bulb type indicaters to LED will make the computor think the bulbs have blown,so i would be riding the bike to the dealers with no indicaters til they reset the bike computor(half an hours labour=40£)is there a way round this cheers sutty.:blast

Yes the reason the computer thinks the bulb is blown is that the LED bulb offer's less resistance to the current. you can get a wee "doo dacky" to put in between to trick the computer. At least i think that's the case - i have a technologically less advanced, mechaniclally superior 1100 :D

have a search on here and maybe even Nippy Normans for the "doodacky"
**Please note Doo dacky is not it's real name:rolleyes:

hi robb, can you give me some more info on your led bulbs cheers mate.:)

Don't NO about any Doo hicky thingie, i fitted LED indicators to my 05 when i bought it. Never did any thing to it it just worked....Me thinks some one is after your money:augie Speak to Nippy ( as in Nippy Norman ):D My new one has LED's as standard:D

Fitted LED indicators and break light without any problems 06 GS, sounds like yet another dealer rip off to me, Just fit the things and see what happens.

'05 12GS with BMW LED indicators fitted by myself. No need for the dealer to do anything.
