Morning all, I'm looking at converting the indicators on my 1150 GS.

Is this a simple conversion and can anyone recommend a good supplier of them ?

Cheers Steve.

Nippy Norman used to do them, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't any more. You might email him (there is an advert on this site) and see if he'll let you know the name of the supplier. They are excellent (I have them on my Adv), you can get the rear ones with an extra line of red LEDs to come on with your brake light.

I haven't done my GS but I've converted other bikes and I also needed to change the flasher unit to suit the LED's. Just a few quid off ebay.

Did you get the indicators of eBay as well ?

I did yes, but avoid the really cheap ones, they just fall apart.

From what I know (but I'm no sparky) the normal flasher unit don't work with led indicators as they don't have enough to resistance. You can add an inline resistor but it is just as easy to swap the flasher unit.

No need to change the flasher unit on my 1150 Adv with either of the sets of LEDs I bought (which looked identical to the Hornig ones in the link above) - just plug and play... :thumb2

Yes the Hornig ones are plug and play.
Each insert has various bits of electrics on the reverse
