LED Speed Camera Warning?

Get a low voltage (2.1v) LED & watch out for polarity (no harm but won't work) & it will fire on audio output. I get a "ding ding... dong" audio output from my Garmin to warn & to alarm if over the speed, so that would translate to a pulsed light, which over time you can easily decode. The LED will work well but remember to detach the wire when dismounting the motorcycle ( the reason I went with the H.A.R.D. system....... ) Put a heatshrink cover (hood) over the LED ( with the lens open) to keep out ambient light & mount it on Velcro, pointing toward the eye. You can then see it on a sunny day with a clear visor.

What determines the voltage for the LED?
