I want to buy one of the led tail lights from nippys but there are 2 choices. One for a bike with ibs and one without ibs .

Im not sure which my bike has (im guessing that ibs tells you on the dash when you have a blown bulb) would it be as simple as removing my tail light bulb and seeing if something lights up on the dash???

My bike is a R1150 GSA 2004 ABS

I deleted my unhelpful post!
I don't know the answer, but I do know that someone on here was making and selling the same thing at a cheaper price. If you do a search then the seller might be able to help:beerjug:

OK, I am ready to be shot down and proven wrong but did the 1150GS ever have integral brakes? Front brake lever operating rear brake  I think the 1150R had but not the GS.

I know my 02 1150 is fitted with a Nippy non IBS led rear light and that works fine, no more blown bulbs:thumb

takakakakakakaka :mcgun :D

Yep, the twin sparks did, together with the funky assisted brakes that used to fail on you

no more blown bulbs:thumb

I'm tempted by the LED wotsit (because they're brighter)... but can honestly say I have NEVER had a rear bulb 'blow' I don't delude myself thinking they're immortal - I replace them as a matter of course every 5 years anyway. (and keep them as a spare)

The same goes for the indicator bulbs. I have yet to replace ANY bulb because its actually 'failed'
