i've had a problem with interrupting the self check at switch on before ..... sometimes the oil warning light stays on and sometimes residual breaking results for awhile.

but a new problem developed today.

let a friend try the beauty and he encountered in switching on 'hazard warning' flashing in the console (left and right flashing together). he tried to disengage and no change.

cutting a long story short as this was happening outside Shaws the Harley dealer on an open day. the 1200 for awhile did not recognise the security chip in the key and the alarm had to be switched off by the remote. things got better and consistent with many 'switch ons'.

but the problem that persists is the left indicator will not engage!

the bulbs work as now on 'switch on' they blink and the console shows left is engaged. when this stops with fiddling on the move the right indictor works fine but the left remains dead and won't even switch off the right lights when the left switch is pressed.

sounds to me like the left switch is dead with dirt or something and the above is the warning.

vines will confirm next week.

well the left indecator switch was changed and the self check returned to normal.

collected the 12gs and as i was about to put it in the garage the self check showed a light bulb with a forward arrow........ yes the headlight had blown. easy job to to replace ;)
