Leg warmers !

[Rugged Path]

Irrespective what I wear below the waist when riding in the winter, my knees seem never to stay warm which I feel has led me to have bad knee joints in my progressive years.
Looking for something like a neck buff to cover the knees under jeans or textile trousers.
Nothing too thick or tight where you cannot bend without cutting off blood circulation.

Maybe something from Merino wool.

Any ideas?

Seen people use something similar to this, some with cut out behind the knee to stop it bunching up when leg is bent on bike. Years ago before I could afford good quality gear I used sea boot socks with the feet cut off so they came up over the knee, (free issue in RAF)
