Got a Flyer from SPC today. And there on the front was Les. Apparently he is now the service manager at SPC. Anyone know owt about this? Just a move to a bigger dealer? Not that it makes a lot of difference to me, I gave up using SLM a couple of years ago, and I have regularly ridden past SPC to get the bike serviced at CW's.
So just curious, and more curious that the news of the 'defection' should reach me via a newsletter from a dealer I havent used for years rather than via this board.
(Bear in mind that I learnt about the explosion in Lahinch on this board hours before my relatives in the town informed me.)

David, were your ears burning on saturday night --

also strange that someone should ask where you've gone, and how they hadn't seen a post from you in a while.

Then here you are - good timing :D :D

Davids not been around for while, I wonder if he's still lurking?

Not so much lurking as nappy changing. And cleaning, cooking, cleaning, vomit moping, cleaning, pram pushing, cleaning, etc etc

Yes, I am a houswife. And as any housewife will tell you, you dont get lunch hours, tea breaks, quiet moments to go hanging out on motorcycle forums.

And when I did try, and it cost me one keyboard, and one mouse. Vomit proof they werent.

But the bugger goes into full time Nursery care as of April the 4th, and on that day I shall go in search of my bike, my keys, my kit (which is in my shed, still not unpacked from the Lahinch meet last year - the last time I actually rode a motorcyle) and then I shall be back. Starting with Lands End.

Nice one David, it's just like riding a bike, once you've learned how to you never forget :)

Dunno what Les was like in his previous place, but he's superb at SPC.

Very helpful indeed, and very patient when answering questions.

More, he remembers your name and greets you nicely.

Yes, Les is very knowledgable and very patient answering (probably ignorant) questions. A credit to SPC.
