Let's hear from the 650/800 testers!

Hello again! Good to be back. Used to belong (different user name) before ditching my loved 1150 due to becoming old, weak etc. Wanted a lighter bike so got a 650 V-Strom. Good enough but I miss BMs. I had a test ride booked yesterday for the new 650/800 but had to cancel due to family commitments. I understand all the test slots were taken at Vines and I presume it was the same for the other dealers. SO, there must be dozens of you out there who tried them. First impressions? I'm interested in the 650 in particular.

Welcome back Barfly! I've still got my 1150, but I've heard good reports about the existing 800 parrallel twin engines. I don't think you will get much response from Wales as we were all busy watching the Rugby yesterday.

Hi Little Beemer, No it's matt black with crash bars and sump bash plate. I live around Briddlesford. As it looks like I'll be coming back to BMs I'll be putting it in the CP.
