I'm a newbie to the BMW / GS scene so this might be a really obvious question...

After picking up my GS I adjusted the handlebars further back and now want to twist the clutch and brake lever down to suit my riding position - how is this done?
it says not to do it in the book that came with the bike but I can't believe it's not possible!
It's got heated grips and handguards - all advice gratefully received, Thanks
ps - FANTASTIC bike:)

I'm going to have a go at this myself over the weekend.

If I remember rightly, you need to remove the plastic cover (with the light switches etc on it) to expose the lever clamps beneath, and there's a sneaky hidden screw holding the plastic bits on, tucked away behind the mirror stalk. Remove the mirror and voila, all is revealed.

It's a good idea to not tighten up the lever clamps too much, so if
(when) the bike gets dropped, the lever will just twist round on the handlebars rather than snap off, leaving you stranded miles from anywhere with no clutch.

i went thru precisely the same process as you when i got my gs. there's a post somewhere on this board from a chap who explained the exact sequence of events to do this. its quite long and complicated and in the end i didn't bother!! but do a search and the details are here somewhere...
