QVC have on offer at the moment the Lexmark X8350 all in one(printer/scanner/copier) for £118 + p/p.

Good buy or not? :nenau

Not a bad price, most shops are selling around the £199 mark and most internet deals are around £150. So a reasonable buy if they don't hammer you on P&P.

Yeah it seems a good price but if there's one thing I've noticed it is that Lexmark's ink cartridges seem to be quite expensive.
It might be worth seeing how much they are going to cost you before commiting to buying the printer

Cheers again Jamie. Done a quick search and up to now found only genuine Lexmark cartridges available. Will keep looking as the printer gets real good reviews.

Don't

Lexmark are very very poor products, don't touch 'em.

Find a Canon, Epson or Hp alternative.

Lexmark are known for producing printers that are as cheap as possible using whatever tricks they can get away with and making printer ink expensive. See http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/01/09/1228217&mode=thread where they are reported to be suing a 3rd party ink mfr on the grounds that they're duplicating the chips in the Lexmark cartridges; that's the chips that make the printers only accept Lexmark cartridges. If they play tricks like that you can bet those chips would report empty prematurely to make you buy more...wouldn't touch them with a bargepole myself.
