What's wrong with that?
Looks pretty good and is certainly better than mine which is just taped to the throttle cable as I didn't have enough wire to put it somewhere more convenient.

Got fogs and spots the centre switch is power for the switch, left is fogs right is spots. Problem is that the switch was designed for spots and LED's so some gubbins inside the switch drops the voltage delivered by one of the buttons to 7.5volts. so fogs don't light up properly

I'd check if the switch has a high enough rated current to run a couple of sets of lights if I were you..... and even if it does, a relay will sort out your luminescence issues :thumb

Your not just a pretty face are you :D:D:D

My guess is the issue is with your relay. The switch should only activate the relay and the power to the lights should come directly from the bike therefore the switch will not effect the voltage to the bulbs. Either it's not wired correctly or the relay rating is too low. I had a similar issue with the flasher relay which on the 650 is only 10W. When I changed to 21W mini indicators I swopped for a 21W flasher unit and all is well with the world.

Of course I may be totally wrong and you can take the pish mercilessly when ever you feel like it :thumb

Your language isn't much better either I learnt at Llangolly :D:D:D

Something wrong with the wiring then fella IMHO. I run a set of fogs and a set of FF50's off of 2 relays. Sounds like the power to the lights is running through the switch rather than directly from the battery. Don't know how you've done it, but the switch is only there to tell the relay to send power from the battery to the lights. Therefore the switch itself should have no bearing on the output of the lights.

Looks like your gonna have to strip it and re-assess your wiring :(

That's wot i feared
oh well something to do on Saturday then
Cheers all
BTW
Show us yer switch

12v 30A relay for 55w spots and 55w fogs

You are using two relays aren't you?

I fitted a PIAA switch via a self adhesive pad to the switch box on the handlebar mounts and converted the blank switch 'no ABS' to fit the HELLA switch. Both are wired in to the connector block under the battery. Both are independently switched and when activated will come on and off with the hi/lo beam switch.

The down side is that for some reason the horn has stopped working :nenau and the MOT's due in three weeks

Job done!
rewired new relays, new switches. If I do say so myself it looks pretty good. As soon as it stops raining I'll get some pics up. Just need to find a nicer bracket for mounting the fogs on the engine bars. God bless Maplins.

DOH!
spoke to soon wire come loose on a relay. have to take it apart again to get at it.
Is there nowhere easily accesible to put the relays?

Well here it is
As usual the flash tends to compensate the light.... but they are BRIGHT!
