Is the 1200 Adventure different to the standard 1200, in respect of fitting a LightBar?
I've looked at a few LightBars for the 1200 and noticed that some say that it doesn't fit the Adventure.
Which ones fit the Adventure? :nenau

What about the bar that BMW throw in when you tick the fog lights box?

only one way i could find.

Guys the bmw bracket is the only way I could find to do the job other than drill through the engine bars and mount it that way. Come on migsel do the honerable thing and come up with a bit of kit for use. anywho I bought the BMW bar £63 including the dreaded but guess what no bolts to attach it with. In fine BMW fashion they reply "arr their £2.83 each sir" I go "what for M3 15mm bolts, your havin a giraffe" "no sir, thats the price. shall I put those on your order" replies BMW suit wearing puddin " Go F ook yourself says I." anyway, sorry I don't mind the price of the bar as it's quite nice and easy to fit but thats like the chippy charging you a quid for the tray to put yer pie chips and gravy in. (to all the southerners out there YES we do put gravy on our pie n chips. an you can talk what the hells with eal pie,and liquer, nasty dude) anywho back to the plot. with the bar fitted ive now made a pair of brackets that mount to the front lugs and now have two spots and two fogs. So with that little lot and a HID on the dip and 100watt on high i can see for miles. By the way, talking to guys here at Bentley on the lighting team they say don't fit HID to your high beam if it runs the single filiment bulbs. They don't get to working temp and will blow either the bulb or the ballast box. there not designed to be flicked on and off and take 70 seconds to produce full light. so there you go you have been warned. don't cry to me if your expensive bulbs blow....

A good point. My Vauxhall Omega had the Xenon lights (and sodding marvellous they were) but only on dipped beam. Main beam was halogen ordinaire.

The dips used to take quite a few seconds to get up to full intensity and would have been useless as main.
