Hi,
I have just noticed that my front and rear light are not working anymore. Brake lights ok as well as full beam flash switch at the back of the handlebar...
What do you think??
Cheers
Vincent
PS: Never had any problems with the bike so don't know much about it. And I haven't got the right manual for it (I have the Clymer F650 1994-2000. What manual should I get?)

checked the 4 fuses box under the seat as well as connections, all seem to be good with that...??

Check the bulbs :augie:augie:augie

Plenty of vibes on the singles to rattle the filament to death :thumb

...and then check the left hand switch gear, the lights do not have a relay. Another place to check is the cable that leads to the headlight. This one gets push around with the forks and can fail right at the crimped connector.

Bonjour Vincent,
looked at my wiring diag for you.
seems like brown wiring from front &rear lights go to a join, and then to battery.
As george says check headlight wiring .
checked battery conections wiring for a break?

I may have a copy of a manual for you ,will have a look in the loft:augie

Thanks guys!
It's fixed. I checked the bulbs, what I could see of the wiring loom and all seemed ok. Then went on to clean the battery connections and what seemed to me like a relay just in front of the battery (a Siemens cubic brown plastic box with pins. That's a relay, right?). Sprayed all that with connection cleaner and lights are back to life!!

Colt, bonjour, if you've managed to put your hand on that manual, i'll have it. Let me know how much you want for it. Very happy with the bike by the way. Well looked after by the previous owner...:thumb2 Cheers

Vincent
