i've searched through the site regarding the rubbish headlights on my GS. All of the solutions seem to involve the fitting of extra spotlights, which seem to work well. my question is;

is there an effective way of upgrading or even replacing the standard units to improve the beam? i read somewhere that certain bulbs (or was it LEDS?) run too hot and melt the fixings. is my only option going to be to fit spots?

I ran a 130 watt main beam for a while and it was great...

I never could get a deffinite it will/will not burn out the switch the chances are it will over time cause damage so I....

swopped both main and dip for phillips plus 50% (then find a nice dark road sit on your bike and adjust your beam on both high and dip for the greatest distance) both beams adjust together if you go to high you'll lose deffinition but find the optimum spot it's worth it.

Then fit Halfords spots... I hard wired mine into the main beam as I see no reason to work them as seperate units. When I want light I hit the main beam and get the lot you don't want to piss about.

Again adjust them well for best effect.

The advantages of the Halfords spots are:

Cheap and Blue so you look like Plod!

Witha white helmet traffic parts fact...
