List of those who have expressed interest in attending

Bill,
I'm a newbie and would like to join if poss. Sounds like it'll be an 'interesting' meet...

Full up !!

That's about the limit folks.

There may well be those who have said they want to come who find they are unable to attend nearer to the date. I would ask you please, if you find you can't now come for whatever reason, let me know so we can make room for late comers.
Thanks.

The reserve list starts from today.

Can Mrs Humbug and I be added to the reserve list please?

We'll be in a wobblybox and will be happy to supply a large pot of Tom Ka Gai to accompany the green curry on Friday night.

I'll stick you on the reserve list Dave. I've 5 acres of fields but a lot of it isn't level enough for camping, skiing yes, camping no. The eighty limit has been set for several more reasons, washing and toilet facilities as well as catering will be stretched beyond that limit.
Two or three people have already advised me that they may not be able to attend and will confirm this over the next week or so, so keep your fingers crossed.
I'll look into B&B locally.

It's here Dave :thumb2

Having got positive posts about the intended 'do', here's the plan so far.

I've a couple of fields in North Staffs laying about doing very little, 10 miles from the edge of the Peak District.I am opening it up to you lot for a meet over the weekend of 19th 20th and 21st July next year.
there's enough flatish land for plenty of tents and wobblyboxes, there is electric and water on site and a barn big enough to hold 30. I'll get a 'festival' style toilet and can rig up a washroom with hot and cold.
At this stage it looks like being a fairly simple do, but we'll have a saturday night bonfire and I'll supply the spuds and fillings for them. There will be free tea and coffee all weekend, a big fridge for the beer, a couple of microwaves, kettles etc.
Proff will bring some liquid Devon delights, and there should be some of my alcoholic offerings as well.
There are several supermarkets within 5 miles, a Sainsburys about a mile away and an offie about a mile as well.
The event will be free, with no supported charidies or any hidden costs for those who attend.
If someone wants to organise a ride-out or two, I will start a thread for it, same for any other off-site activities.
Post code for the area is ST7 3PS.

Here's a close-up, the kite shaped fields left and right of the barns

Any chance of squeezing me in with a wobblybox?

I'll stick you on the reserve list Phil

My fields have only ever been grazed or used for hay-making, and as such have never been compacted down like a proper camp site, you would be halfway up to your axles if you drove round the bottom half of the bigger field in 3tons of vehicle at the moment.
We need a few dry weeks leading up to 19th July so that wobblyboxes can used all of the available field space, else they'll be squidged up a bit on the harder areas, and you will need levelling ramps where ever you end up parking.

Reserve list

Hey up , guess you will have to add Sue and I to the reserve list then. :blast
We did not think this weekend would be free nitially, but now it is:blagblah
