living with a GSA

I did it last week. Went from a Ducati 999S to a GSA.

Love it. Looks a bit daunting at first, bit of a pig to roll around, but as soon as you're moving it's a doddle.

Very pleased I made the move.

5 years of GSA TC and now 1 month with GSA LC. Came from japanese rice rockets but wanted more comfort and do trips.

Pro
Like the look. Panniers are great. ESA works, even better on the LC. Full range fantastic. Love the torque and winding it up from low revs.

Cons
Wind protection disappointing on both. Seat on TC not good.
Build quality disappointing on both. 2x fuel strip went on the TC and also 2x outer seal on drive shaft went. Clutch went on TC. Impossible to keep clean. Fuelling is terrible on the LC, i cannot believe BMW sells a bike that runs so poor.

Would I buy another one? Not sure tbh. I think value for money is just not good enough. You really start feeling being milked by BM. Having to pay extra for a fob for your alarm, i mean honestly.

Had my GSA for the last 10days and in that time i have done around 1200miles on it mostly two up, i love it this bike although it has the same engine as my 2011 GS had it feels far more. Loving the ESA well impressed, here is looking forward to many more miles.

Oh wind blast is an issue until i fitted a GIVI AF330 screen what a difference.

Had my 2006 GSA for a few months now, and covered a couple of thousand commuting into London miles. Moved from an F800GS. Got a lower seat and now love it.

Pros
Wind protection (I keep much warmer than on my old 800)
Lazy, effortless ride
FUEL TANK RANGE BRILLIANT!! (especially for commuting)
That boxer engine

Cons
None so far :thumb2

Happy to hear it's looking after you ok!!

Wow, buying a bike without a test ride, thats brave.
I think you'll enjoy it, but I've never bought any vehicle without a good test ride/drive

I've bought mine without having passed my test

Haha...doing my intensive DAS next week. Thanks though
