I hung onto my system cases when I sold my 1150gs thinking I'd get another. In the end I got a 1200 and so want to sell the 1150 cases. Checked them the other day and they're locked :blast
What I want to now is can they be drilled out? Could I (a mechanical numpty) do it or should I get it done (in which case by who)?

Can you not get in touch with whoever bought your bike and locate the new owner, im sure they would open them for you.

Had a similar problem, dealers said that drilling out the locks was as likely to trash the panniers completely as allow them to open.

Thought about going to a GS meet and asking if you can try everyones keys if you can't get hold of the new owner of the bike?

Sold the bike to a dealer and then waited over a year before deciding to do anything about them :blast:blast:blast

If I was you I would go to a BMW dealer, explain your predicament and give them the registration of the old bike you had........just maybe they may be willing to order a key, have you take the cases to them to open and then they destroy the key after. Just a thought, nothing lost in asking
