Came down from work today and was surpised when I couldn't get the key in the padlock. Wiggled it about a bit and it still wouldn't go in, closer look revealed that someone had tried to drill the barrel out. More pishing about and I managed to bash the key in and get it unlocked, at which point the barrel disintegrated.

They also had (a half-hearted) go at the ignition barrel too.

Bike was parked round the back of Farringdon on a busy side-street, right opposite where I'm working!

I'm usually a 2 lock person, disc lock and chain with a hefty padlock. I've been getting a bit lax recently and only using one. Timely reminder for me, hopefully for you too :thumb

Cheers,

Pluck

I have just started working in Central Milton Keynes - this means parking in a bay 3 floors and the other side of the building away. Today I ordered an Almax and Squire lock combo - the ultimate deterrent. Well apart from extreme violence, I will be using a couple of locks and a chain until it arrives.

With free delivery and a nice seat bag as well for the stuff. :clap :clap

I have only had one experience of attempted theft. Guess where? Farringdon!

memories

I used to work there back in the day. I left my work shoes bunjied on to my seat for about fifteen mins while i got a coffee. When I got back to my bike my shoes and the bunjie strap had been nabbed.
Dont yawn your fillings might go walk about :spitfire
