......£50 - I'd want bare breasted laydeeez cleaning my bike for that!!!

Blimey - I work in Fleet St and wouldn't pay that. I could get TWO large moccashinos for that, FFS.

Well feck you lot!

He does my bike 2 or 3 times a year- he's a nice bloke and he does a good job! I live in a flat and have nowhere to clean my bike even if I could be arsed. Sod running up and down stairs with buckets of warm water and spending hours on me knees scraping skin off me knuckles - I'll leave that to you cheapskates :dabone :D

Pluck.

Go to a Tiger wash? £5.

You can buy a jetwash for less than that from one of the sheds like aldi.

Given it's just a lot of mud, it'll have it back to standard 'dirty' in 30 seconds and you can wash it as normal for free.

bonus, all your future bike washes are free too.

Bottle of de-greaser £3.50

Garage jet wash x2 £5.50

10 minutes of my time

= bike like new

or go to morocco, most garages have a man who cleans vehicles, with all the proper detergents = 30 pence :thumb

£100-£150 cleaning bill per annum!

'Buy time' garage jet wash £5 max

Bottle of spray on 'muc-off'

3 washes pa= £15

I went to one of those 'hand car wash' places near Charlton (SE London)

They jet washed it, got all the mud out of the awkward places, then hand washed and dried the bike.

All for £3.99

Defintiely second you on that Muck Off stuff - seems to work really well on the London city road grease and grime - less elbow grease never a bad thing! cant say on off road muck.

and for the greenies amongst us - its biodegradable so safe to use when youre away on country trips.

you don't want to use buckets of warm water this time of year not with all that salt on the roads, or is this Llone....londe...london place too far south to get ice on the roads.

kids that what you want ------cheap labour..................

it is jealousy I would love to have that spare cash.....

so long as you ride your bike and not spend all your time cleaning.

I have used it

I used the service when I was selling my bike before coming to the USA when I had no time to spend washing and polishing.

I got the full asking price for the bike when the chap turned up, he could believe how clean and in good condition the bike was.

IMHO it was money well spent, got rid of the bike in a time of need and got 250 more than book at the time.

For everyday cleaning, bucket of suds is just the job, this is a luxury service.

Hein Gericke bike cleaning stuff - £8 for 5 litres...just given 'best buy' in Ride ;)

spray down bike, squirt on stuff, leave 20 mins, spray down bike...cup o'tea :thumb

I remember this company well when I was the TaxyBike controller for Addison Lee. Their saleperson droned on and on about what the cleaning service included. I explained that currently the riders wash their bikes for free so what was the benefit?

I don't wash my gs very often, I use ammonia and water plus suds when I do. Then give it a good polish with Mr Sheen or somesuch.
