What a great ride report and super pix. I have been turning over dozens of destinations in my mind for next year - I think you may just have saved the remaining grey matter from meltdown!

After a bit of a search i found this thread i started back in 2008 after my first trip to Slovakia on the bike... Heading off again in a few weeks and can't wait, 1150 GSa last time and new 1200 this time. No camping though, strictly B&Bs and minimising the number of Motorways if we can...

Damn, should have checked the thread before posting. I'll have a look at my photo bucket account and see if i can find the original pics..
 
Hi Chris, just in case you haven't thought of it......We did a trip in 2010 or so.....Down to Garmisch , across to Berchtesgaden ( for the Eagles Nest) , then across to the SW corner of Slovakia ( stayed in a hotel just North of Bratislava in a place called Svaty Jur.)

Then straight up to Krakow for a couple of days , Auschwitz etc. Lovely place to stay in Krakow (Royal Hotel) 2 mins from Wawel castle .

Then we headed to Prague for a couple of nights, then North to Colditz :thumb2

You may well have seen them all already, but always worth bearing in mind :beerjug:

Hadn't thought about that, We'll be heading to the east of Slovakia to Kosice and then out to a village called Michalany for a 4-5 night stay with the in-laws.. May well look to do some of that on the way home :thumb2
