Long term Storage

I just took the cover off my R1150GS that I had stored down in Northern Spain for the last 6 months. I kept it permanently on a cheap trickle charger and thats all I did apart from blocking off the air inlet and exhaust to make sure nothing decided that it was their new home.
Nothing fancy with moving the tyres to avoid flat spotsd, no oil injected into the barrels, no wonder additive put into the petrol etc.
It started on the button first time and I drove 500 kilometres that day without a hitch.

Feels good.

I left a Yamaha TDM outside and under a cover for 18 months, came to it and pressed the starter....feck me it fired up first time even the battery had held enough charge
