Looking for advice

My f650gs has a problem with the neutral light - its on all the time, mostly just flickering dimmly sometimes glowing as if in neutral when infact its in gear. I've had it back to the shop twice but the problem persists. Its only a year old. Any ideas what could be causing the problem??????

Lazy mechanics? Take it back to the shop if it's still under warranty and demand that it gets fixed. Sounds like a dodgy switch or possibly a short in the wiring.

Have a look at your side stand switch. it might be slightly defective too.

Funnily enough on all gs the neutral light goes on when you kick the side stand up very slowly. It also allows you crank the engine over even if you are in gear...usefull if your clutch switch is dead (like mine)
