Going for a ride in the morning, usually take the following route, after something different, anyone got any ideas?

Southampton, Salisbury, Devizes, Avebury, Broad Hinton, Marlborough, Ludgershall, Stockbridge, Romsey, Southampton.

Want to avoid A272.

look on Britain's best biking roads website, download what you want and cobble away! Also look on ride magazine website for gpx routes

Do a search here for 'fords rides' based out of the hograost at Andover.

or start your normal route, then at 20 miles on the odometer, start taking strictly alternating left then right turns.....see where it leads you :)

or start your normal route, then at 20 miles on the odometer, turn left according to alphabetical progression.......IE left when you see any word or place name beginning with "A", then next left when any sign has a word or place name starting with "B" and so on.......

These may not take you down known stunning routes, but will definitely show you some places that you have never been before, and who knows what you might find :nenau

Found a couple on best biking roads, you do have to be patient with that site though, takes ages to load all those maps.

Cant do fords as one of us will be on a road bike. Also, don't have unlimited time, don't want to waste time on roads that might be boring/slow/villages etc.

Will go out that way on my own next time and find new routes for future rides.

:D

(that one is less than half an hour from you ;) )

I much prefer going out on my own, and getting completely lost, down B roads and white roads that I've never ridden down before.:JB

I have to plan too much at work, so bike time is fun time.:thumb:beerjug:
