Very nice. It's not like every XR was going to be kept in immaculate standard condition and spec.
 
I’m a fan of customised bikes. Not every one is to my taste, but hey! who am I to criticise someone else’s creativity ( perhaps not out aloud )? But in this instance I much prefer the original. I’m a big fan of older trail bikes. They had a certain purity about them that you just can’t get anymore.
 
It's not an 'older trail bike', the donor bike was a 2024 XR650L, so no 'classic' was molested for the build.

I had an '89 NX650 Dominator which I sold to someone who did something similar. I was pleased to see it being given a new lease of life TBH

I kind of get that the proportions don't look quite right to me........wish I had the skills and inclination to do something like that though.

I bought one of these as a winter bike in 2000 MuZ 660 Skorpion (hence the MZOKK moniker)

A French customiser Jean-François Vicente made this out of it which is a vast improvement IMHO

I don't like choppers, I suppose you could call them hippie shit, I do like 50's rocker shit, I have never thought it important to like all bikes but anything 2 wheeled is more interesting than anything with 4 even if I don't like it. Some of the modern Chinese shit that give many on here a boner leave me cold. So what? If somebody wants to customise their bike good luck to them
