That's it then - all packed & ready for the morning.

Had a stress at the wife for all the potions & creams that she's packed.( probably need 1/2 of them anyway)
Still that's all over. First trip for me to the States, so let's hope it's the first of many. Calling at Eagle Riders
in Los Angeles and hopefully we will drop a bike off in Orlando that is roughly the same shape as when it set
off.

Wish me luck and all that!

Have fun! Hopefully the cold front with below freezing temperature from Texas east into Florida this week moved on.

Should've said that she'd get for half the price over there. ;)

Enjoy - It was Freezing with Icey Roads here on Tuesday and I'm positive much colder to the north so be prepared fro varying weather.... You will love it over here.

Thanks for encouragement. El paso tomoz. So far a great trip

So that was it. What a fantastic trip. We had to go south in Texas as temp was 15F whatever that is in real money. it was cold. We went down to Galveston and then along the coast of Louisiana
to New Orleans and via Tallahassee to Florida. Can't say that I would ever want to own a Honda Goldwing, but it was definitely the bike for the job. heated grips and seats, bags of wind protection and very good in cross winds as well. Learnt so much about varying accomodation and shit food but no complaints at all. A few adjustments to kit for next time (depending on time of year), but, all in all, not so far out with stuff that we took.
Looking forward to the next one now.

Looking forward to the write up and photos. I've only had one bad meal out here so far but that was really bad. I have avoided the Mexican Taco vans as heard horror stories about them......

We hired bikes with HC Travel.com The bikes were picked up from Eagle Riders and cost £750 for 10 days hire including all fully comp insurances. Flights from Manchester £480
Accom varies but say £50 or under for a twin room. Food - what ever you want, similar to our prices. Drink - also very similar. so about £2k probably all in. adding a pillion passenger would add a further £750 but you usually get favours/gratification/conversation/company from a pillion included in the price :love
Also a few odds and sods to add on but nothing major.

Our stop overs were at Blythe, Cal. Benson New Mexico. El Paso, Snyder, Austin, Galverston, Texas. Thibodaux Louisiana. Mobile Alabama. Tallahassee Florida, Orlando
