lost all pics????/

bought a new dvdrw drive today installed it no probs put on nero with no problems but now ive lost all my pictures my folder is empty & I cant find them anywhere Ive tried system restore with no success & when I try to open recent docs it says missing shortcut ?? can any one help me please thanks Malc

i used this recently to find some files on my pc where the shortcut had been deleted.

you can try it out for free i think, but need to pay to get the actual recovery function.

malc.......the chances are the pics are all still there, but Nero has created a new (and so empty) folder.

pull up 'search' and make the pooter list all the jpg's or whatever format they are in.......just type in *.jpg ,*.jpeg, *.gif etc one at a time (including the start and dot) into the search field and let it chunter away.

(if you can find the old folder you may well find that you renamed it 'malcs pics' or something....then you can point nero to that as its default folder and all will be as it was.
