Hi
Can someone please help me out with a good choice for a louder horn?
On those occasions when I resort to using the thing I'd prefer it to be loud/annoying enough for co-habitees of the road to hear!!

best make? easy fitting guide?

cheers,
David

I've fitted Fiamms to various bikes over the years, the electric ones with two "trumpets", rather than the air horns. A bit fiddly to fit but they do sound the business, a deep, loud, solid sort of noise, a bit like a posh car horn so people think they've got a Roller up behind them!

One of the problems to watch out for is not sounding like a bike....... if you sound like a truck they'll be looking for a truck, & miss you completely! (the opposite of what you wanted really).

Hi!

Can anyone tell me were to buy these Fiamms horns? On the web.

Thanks!

Dave, if you do a search on here for horns, you'll find a wealth of ideas. Someone on the site has them for sale.

I fitted a pair of electronic horns bought from Halfords for about £30, maybe less. they sound superb but there is not a lot of room to fit both. i managed to squeeze them up under the bottom yoke on the front forks.

You want loud horns !

City Slicker is the man.

I bought a pair off him & I've put them on my second GS. They don't fill with water, rot, fall apart, stop working - just LOUD !
Don't bother pissing about with cheaper options, if he still does them, buy a set. They come with all the connections & wiring harness.

Hella, 80 mm dia £10 each hi & Lo note at your local Hella dealer
119 db each

I got air horns so that if I ever get to India I can compete with the buses. They are fan-bloody-tastic and fit nicely under the beak. But they might not be compatible with a bike MoT in this country.

If you don't want air horns the Fiamm electromagnetics get my vote. I've got a spare set here that I really should sell - boxed, never used. Let me know.
