Yeah, I think I'm going to look for a black low front mudguard for my airhead. The look of the low units has grown on me.....
I could do with someone having a surplus mudguard in their shed... any one got one?:P

Timpo.

Low mud guard is good to keep the bike free of mud and cooler while off roading

It’s also good to avoid arriving to work with our feet full of road debris!

but it doesn’t look as good!

ps: I have one white low mud guard that I can sell. Its need to be repainted

The works Dakar bikes had low guards , so will have to assume all the works riders wire faries.

Either that or they were riding desert racers in the desert.

And as has been pointed out elsewhere, if you actually ride the bikes , as oposed to taking pictures of them splasing through puddles, you will find that without some sort of a low guard the front you will soon drown the electrics, and most of yourself below the waist.

I have used the flatracer tubular fork brace and a low guard on my G/S for a couple of years withoutany problems, and as the bikes pictured still have the fork brace at the lower level I dont think that fitting a guard to the would cause any problems either.

I think I've got a white one lurking in the back of a shed, I'll look later today

Is this the one you are after?
It's black under the paint.

Nowt wrong with low black ones - this one was on when I got it but I have the high one stashed in the loft - if I put that on I'll have to take it out and get it covered in shite
