Slim,

obviously you can buy one from a BMW dealer. Another alternative is to advertise for one in the For Sale & Wanted forum.

In order to do this, you must become a Forum Sponsor. To do this, click on the 'Sponsor' button at the top centre of the screen and follow the prompts.

Cheers

aftermarket seat search

it was an aftermarket low seat i was really looking for

Wunderlich do one, built on the standard seat pan, but with less foam. Damned hard, so I sent mine off to Melvyn Hunter for gel pads, but didn't like the result much.
So, tried a Sargent seat, in the low version, which uses its own seat pan, and is very comfortable.
Just got a second hand Corbin, not gone far with it yet, its not a 'low' version, but seems to be narrower at the front, so getting feet down not too tricky.
Will do some more miles on it, then decide which one to keep.

Shug 29" inside leg

Shugie,I have just got a used corbin and mine is a fair bit wider at the front than the BEM one!
Testing it out next week at the sleeperz.

For what its worth, but I have a brand new "Melvin Hunter " fully loaded GSA low seat that if my Corbin seat arrives within the next three weeks, it will not be used and will therefore be up for grabs.

It has only been bought as a spare just in case the worst happens and Corbin do not deliver mine in time.

I used a brand new BMW low seat as a donar seat and Melvin did his magic after that, 3/4" gel pads added to the front and rear, he also narrowed the front part just a small amount but still kept it exactly the same height as the OE low one.

The pillion section has been raised and made a little more rounded to keep SWMBO happy!

Seating on it, you can instantly feel the gel pads under yer bum and it offers all the support in all the right places, plus touching the floor is not an issue at all.

It really is a super job, if UR interested or need any more info, then please feel free to mail me direct on:-

Cheers

Alan
